What leads you on your path in times of darkness?

At times only retreating from the external world can reveal the path of your inner journey. If you stay in, tune it and stay off social, and literally imagine yourself as a wise mentor what advice would you reveal to yourself?

I reimagined this card as a Jewish elder walking through the darkness holding the lantern on a staff to light his path into the mountains. Traditionally there is a six sided Star (Seal of Solomon) in the lantern to represent wisdom; for artistic reasons I went with 8 pointed star instead. The staff represents authority which I combined with the lantern to represent that authority is directly supported by wisdom.

Traditionally, the Hermit celebrates the value of solitude to reflect and to develop a sense of knowing uninfluenced by the biases of other people. Reversed, the Hermit whispers that you need to wind down and search your soul for answers.

LOVE: You are a person who processes emotion best when alone which can at times be a challenge to others who prefer to co-process their feelings.

MONEY: You may want to lighten up your life by charitable giving of objects you no longer need.

HEALTH: Spend a moment in meditation to hear the wishes of your physical being.

CAREER:  A position where you work alone may be best at this time.
