Remember to live your life with built-in pauses. If you’re finding yourself being busy for the sake of being busy, ask why you’re avoiding any opportunity for self-reflection. Can you make space for self-reflection?

I chose a Russian ballet dancer for my protagonist suspended from a large tree in front of a lake. Traditionally, the Hanged Man represents meditation, surrender, release and acceptance of being held in a position where action is impossible. Reversed, you feel stuck and you’re resisting it; you’re unwilling to put everything on hold and look inward.

LOVE: You may find yourself in a position where retreating from a love relationship helps you develop a new perspective.

MONEY: You need to hold off on buying large purchases to review your financial plan.

HEALTH: You need a break. Take a moment to recharge your body.

CAREER: You may find yourself separated from your position and must find a new way to navigate life without the familiar comfort of your regular job.
