Artist’s Notes

I chose a Renaissance era Spanish charioteer being pulled by two sphinxes one black (negative) and one white (positive). In one gloved hand he holds the chains to the sphinxes harnesses and in the other bare hand he holds a pike. Each sphinx is facing a different direction yet the charioteer moves forward through his force of will. Traditionally in RWS,  no chains hold the sphinxes which are controlled instead by the force of will. The chariot has a blue stars on the back and an Egyptian winged sun with intertwined snakes on its bow. Traditionally, the Chariot represents action, success, strength, self determination and warfare. Reversed, the Chariot may be a sign you're going the wrong way and a change of course in needed before disaster strikes.
