When have you overcome your fears?

Write down several small fears on slips of paper. Choose one from a hat and work on moving past the mind-limitation of fear.

I reimagined what is traditionally seen as a young woman prying open the mouth of a lion instead as a young female Shembe warrior with her arm loosely wrapped around a lioness’ neck as a symbol of overcoming your fears.

Although this card usually portrays a male lion, I wanted to use a lioness because of its hunting prowess. I felt the warrior sitting comfortably in front of the lioness reflected her courage to put her fears behind her.

Traditionally, the Strength card represents courage, passion, fortitude, compassion and influence. Reversed, it represents coercion, self doubt, and lack of maturity.

LOVE: Confident choices allow you to accept love without fear, insecurity and distrust.

MONEY: To enjoy a secure future, one must control immediate gratification and invest in retirement.

HEALTH: A healthy vitality body and strong sex drive serve you well.

CAREER: You can choose to overcome petty obstacles to rise.
