Death Meaning

Prompt:

Is there something you need to let go of that no longer serves you?

Live the Tarot:

Rather than resisting an oncoming change write every possible positive outcome on paper to determine if some new light can slip into the void created by the death of some life cycle.

Artist’s Notes:

I chose a blue ombré skeleton dressed in an old lace veil trimmed in big roses as Death. I enjoy the juxtaposition between the lush flowers and the ancient lace. I chose the ombré effect to represent the change from one state to another. Also I chose a bridal veil instead of a robe to represent the idea of a ceremonial element dividing a time of before and after. Although the Rose in the RWS flag is white, I chose red for the pulse of life.

In the RWS school of tarot, death is posed in a knight’s armor on a horse carrying a flag with a white Tudor Rose as people of all social strata fall dead despite their walk of life.

Traditionally, Death represents transformation, change, ending, new beginnings and death of some area of life, Reversed, there is resistance to some part of life that is ending and a refusal to acknowledge new life follows death.

LOVE: A big change is afoot and you cannot wish it away so instead look forward to exploring a new world.

MONEY:  A giant jolt to your financial world is going to leave you with less and you must navigate the loss of income.

HEALTH: In most cases Death represents a change in health or ability best served by managing your expectations to lower your stress.

CAREER: When one job, position or career ends, another has the room to begin.
