The High Priestess

2 The High Priestess

The second card of the Major Arcana is the High Priestess, also known as the Popess, who invites us to rely fully on the divine wisdom which we all have inside us inspired by our relationship with the Universe. She has endless access to the divine feminine and sustains the world through the flow of her divine energy.

Prompt:

Is there any area of your life begging you to trust your gut?

Live the Tarot:

Choose an interaction that you recently had and close your eyes. Can you see the action unfold in your mind's eye? Listen with your gut and try to sense the energy of the moment not the words or actions. How do you feel? Don't place judgements of your emotions. Just let the energy wash over you like waves. What vibes do you pick up?

Artist’s Interpretation

For my interpretation, I chose a woman dressed in an extravagant blue and white gown representative of the twilight sky wearing a radiant crown encrusted with a gold crescent moon. She holds a scroll in her hand for sacred wisdom. Pomegranate fruit flank each side of her head as a symbol of abundance and a blue moon illuminates  two columns one black marked with the letter B (Boaz) for masculinity and one white marked with the letter J (Jachin) for femininity both which balance and create a scared space. Traditionally, the High Priestess represents the subconscious, intuition, sacred knowledge and the feminine mysteries. Reversed, she means a withdrawal from your subconscious, secrets and disconnectedness.

LOVE: This is a deep meaningful relationship bonded by intuition and a deep mutually respectful bond.

MONEY: In terms of your finances you should follow your gut especially if you have a nagging feeling that something's not right.

HEALTH: Do not be deterred by medical professionals if you have a gut feeling that you're not being listened to. Advocate for yourself by seeking another opinion.

CAREER: When making decisions about your career draw on your intuition which will serve you well.
